The first general assembly of Asian Federation of Kickboxing ( AFK ) was held in the conference hall of common office of sport federations' affairs of Islamic Republic of Iran in Tehran in 20 th –21 st december2003in order to recognize a unified federation in all around Asia with standard rules of world kickboxing and Olympic Council of Asia ( OCA ).

All the women and men representatives of provinces in Iran participated in the assembly.

This assembly was founded in order to start and begin the international activities among Asian countries.

The meeting was opened with the speech of kickboxing senior members and then the election of founder board was held.

WPKA, IAKSA, WPKL, WKBF, IKF, WKF, IKAS organizations and some other national associations attended at that assembly.

After presenting the records and documents and the speech of all Kickboxing members of the country, the election of founder board was held.

And at the end, all the members voted to Mr. Mohammad ghasem manouchehri; the president of Iran kickboxing, to recognize Asian Federation of Kickboxing ( AFK ). Then it was decided that he should open AFK central office in Hamedan and make all Asian countries, AFK members and hold international and national championships with OCA rules and record kickboxing in OCA .
